Siam Discovery: Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds is the world’s favourite wax attraction that over 90 wax figures are waiting for you including historical leaders, musicians, Hollywood celebrities, famous sportsmen and others.

Before went for Bangkok, one of my friends had tried to purchase the ticket through online but during the payment, the bank cannot transfer the money or fail so we just buy the ticket through the counter.

The ticket that we bought was Combo Ticket with premium package that save more on entry to Madame Tussauds Bangkok and Siam Ocean World with some extras such as a trip on the breathtaking Glass Bottom Boat, Siam Ocean World’s fantastic 5D Cinema experience, a complimentary personalized wax hand and complementary photo (size 6*8 inches). This combo ticket cost us 1,720 Baht per person.

Actually the ticket price that we saw at online with counter price is the same so we did not need to purchase via online also can. Free admission is provided for the children whose under 3 years old.

The figures in Madame Tussauds can be divided into many sections such as pop stars, A-List Party, Film Stars, TV Stars, Arts and Sciences, History and Leaders, Characters and sports stars.

In some areas, it has color lighting that made some photos not so clear as the color of light keep changing such as blue, red and so on.

During the photo session with your favorite star, some of them may have some items for you to play around such as cloths, hat, wreath, wigs such as boom hair and so on. I had tried for the boom hair that made me looks so funny.

At History and Leaders section, it has a drawer for you to pull out and know more about the leaders such as the favorite meal of Chairman Mao will be reveal when you pull out the drawer.

With some stars like President Obama, Spiderman, Wolfman and Indian star that have a staff stand at there to take a picture of you. After this visit, you can choose the photo that you want and purchase the photo from them. As my ticket included the photo so I just choose the photo for free.

Doraemon has its expo at Johor Bahru but I can’t go there so at here also made part of my wish come true by take a photo with Doraemon.

I found out that kids are very good in posing as they have many poses or patterns during photo with figures but I always having same pose. Look like I need to learn from those kids.

When take a photo with Oprah figure, one of foreigner offer to help my friends and I took a photo because before this when take a photo with figure just one people take photo while the other posing so it was seldom to see we take a photo together.

In return, I also help that foreigner to take a photo with his partner and Oprah. When took the picture of them, that foreigner start “talk” to Oprah that I think he want to see natural, so clever! After that, an Indian couple also asked me to help them take a photo with Oprah so I am camera girl again.

When we finished took photo will all the figures, the school kids were coming. Those kids were so happy and curious that touch the figures. Luckily that we already finished, if not, I also did not know when will be our turn to take a picture with those figures. I just curious that why we always meet with school children as before this in Art in Paradise? Haha.. Nowadays, those kids are so happiness that can go around visiting during weekday.

Below is the video for the making of wax figures of Beyonce and Justin Bieber. Through these video, I just knew that the process of making a wax figures is so complicated and involve many steps.
