Pohon Batu Food Court: ABC Coconut

In the evening, we had gone to beach to search for this ABC Coconut. The ABC coconut is a dessert inside a coconut shell.

ABC (acronym for Air Batu Campur, meaning “mixed ice”) is a Malaysian dessert. Traditionally, an ice shaving machine is used to churn out the shaved ice used in the dessert, originally hand cranked but now more often motorized - Wikipedia

When at Pohon Batu Food Court (Pantai Pancur Hitam) , you will see lots of food stalls selling food and drinks such as satay (grilled meat served with sauce), noodle, ABC, coconut and many more.

We had ordered 2 coconuts for drink while an ABC Coconut for a try.  Inside of ABC Coconut has shaved ice, grass jelly, sweet corn, cendol and many more. At the top of ABC has a scoop of ice-cream.  For your information that this ABC coconut did not has coconut water or meat, the coconut shell just serve as plate so do not expect can eat coconut meat. Haha..

For me, the portion given is quite many so advisable for sharing unless you are ABC lover that can finish all. That time, I have toothache because I grew Wisdom teeth so I just try for a little and drink more coconut water.

Twinkle Like Café

In this Mother Day, we choose to bring mother for dinner in Twinkle Like Café.

While waiting for the dishes, let take a look for the decoration in this café.

This café is clean and nice. If you are the person who like to selfie or wefie, remember to choose a bright place to sit at because some places are darker which not suitable for picture taking. This café still maintain the Christmas decoration because I saw few Santa Claus (dolls) are climbing the rope.Hehe..

The snowman will give you the direction of washroom.

Fried Mee Suah @ RM 11.90

By seeing the fried mee suah on menu made me want to try for it because mee suah usually served with soup but now it is “fried”, so special. My mother also wishes to try for this dish so lastly I changed to other dish. When fried mee suah come, all of us quite disappointed to see it because it is not mee suah, it more like rice vermicelli. I was so curious that why the café name this dish as fried mee suah instead of fried rice vermicelli or mee hoon.

At first, my sister ordered for roast chicken with rice but it was finished so she changed to roast BBQ chicken with rice.

The quantity of spaghetti is not many with little of ham. I think spaghetti can be added in more ingredients such as vegetable.

Labuan Airport: S2 Café – White Furniture Cafe

Usually if has any celebration, my family will choose to go town for a dinner. This time, I suggested going to a café in an airport as they did not try at there before while I had been went there before with colleague.

Around 7 p.m., we arrived at airport and went to S2 Café for dinner. That times, not many people having dinner. After we sat down, a waiter gave us menu for order the food. The menu as below:-

Almost all the furniture at that café is in white color. Our table has a plant which is small and cute so I took a photo of it while wait for food coming. 

In this café has an announcement TV that showing the departure and arrival for the flight so for those who need to have some food before go into flight can always look for TV to know the updates.   

Cincau & Logan/Laici Drinks 

I did not try for any noodle with tomato sauce before so I ordered this for a try. I thought that this dish will sour but when I eat this, this noodle did not sour at all.

The portion of the dish is not so many so you will not feel super full after finish it but still can make your stomach 80% to 90% full.

This picture of S2 Café was not taken during dinner but in my folder long time ago as I wish to write a post about Labuan Airport. Now, I think I need to revisit airport to take some new pictures as airport has a little bit different from the picture that stored in my computer.

Financial Park: HK Lao Po Dou Hua - Original & Green Tea Flavor

That day, HK Lao Po Dou Hua start operated in Financial Park. My manger had bought some *Dou Hua (beancurd jelly) to treat us as tea time.

*Douhua is the short form of doufuhua. It is a Chinese snack made with very soft tofu. It is also referred to as tofu pudding and soybean pudding – Wikipedia

I tried for original flavor of Dou Hua , it is very soft and smooth and it did not sweet at all so it is a healthy dessert too as usually the Dou Hua that selling is too sweet.

The next day, my mum, sister and I had gone to Financial Park for a shop so I had bought some Dou Hua for them to try for. Besides the original flavor, I had bought the green tea flavor. 

I like the green tea flavor because when you eat it, you can taste out light green tea taste as I also like to drink green tea.

Kedai Kopi Chai Wang: Herbal Mee Hoon

Every time friend ask for food recommendation in my place, I will no idea about it and direct tell he/she that I seldom eat at outside as most of the time, I eat at home that ready prepared by my mother. Haha..except some festival or occasions that will eat at outside.

That day we were having our breakfast at outside as we need go to Kota Kinabalu by ferry to attend my sister’s convocation. My dad suggested to go Kedai Kopi Chai Wang to having breakfast as it near with terminal ferry which located opposite of HSBC Bank. My parents went to there to order for us first as I need to buy ferry ticket with my sister.

After buying the ticket, my sister and I went to find my parents for breakfast. On the table, I had seen has herbal mee hoon (rice vermicelli) and so surprised as before this I knew that it has sell chicken rice in afternoon and noodle in morning and did not know that has herbal noodle.

I was so happy to see has herbal mee hoon as I like to drink herbal soup. The ingredients of herbal mee hoon have carrots, chicken slide, tofu (bean curd), red dates and wolfberries (gei ji). I like its soup which tastes good but the portion that giving was not so many but you can request to add more during order.   

Chat Time Café: Mini Wok as Plate

My family planned went to Chat Time Café for a dinner and as birthday celebration for dad and little sister. When we went there, we had choose to sit near with door which I super not recommend you to sit there if you have chance to go there as above of that seat has air-conditioner that will leaking few drops of water.  

This café did prepared baby chair so suitable for family dinner or gatherings. You also can enjoy its wifi as password written on a paper near with counter there.

Nasi Goreng Special

The way it presents the food is so special especially for Nasi Goreng Special and noodles that will put on a mini wok and has a bowl that stable it. 

Heong Tai Mihoon

In every dish, you will see has poached egg. Like the dish of Mihoon, the poached egg was at the below of Mihoon. I had ordered Heong Tai Mihoon and the things that I like with this dish was it full of vegetable beside chicken and seafood. 

Tomyam Chicken Rice

If you order Tomyam Chicken Rice, it comes with a plate of rice with a bowl of Tomyam. The taste of Tomyam was sour. Every rice will has poached egg, salad, crackers and a slide of green apple. It is a balance meal.

We went to there again as birthday celebration for my big sister. The purpose we went there was my big sister did not go there before and I want takes a picture of this café as before this I just snap a picture for food.

Heong Tai Mihoon

We went there around 7.15 p.m. and café did not have any customer beside my family. It looks like we had booked for whole café for my sister birthday celebration. Haha.. When we ate for our dinner, customer was keep coming.

Butter Chicken Rice

This time, my dad and mum had turned to order noodle as before this they ordered rice while me turned to order rice as I had tried for Mihoon before.

Tomato Rice with Chicken

For those who like to eat chicken can order for tomato rice with chicken as the chicken was so big. If you dislike chicken so big can order for other rice such as sweet and sour chicken, butter chicken and so on. When order for noodle, you can choose either chicken or seafood. Of course the price will differently charge. 

Watan Mee

This time, I had ordered sweet and sour fish. When it comes, I was happy as it has many vegetable such as cucumber, pepper, tomato and many more. I thought that it will some like my sister’s dish which is butter chicken. The rice portion is so big so after finished it, I was so full. Luckily that this time, I share a drink with my sister.

First Tried of Roti Cobra Ayam

On 15^th Sptember 2013 (Sunday), my family and I had gone to Restoran JJ Nazar to search for something to eat for our tea time. This was my mother's suggestion as we did not eat at there before.

At there, I had seen the restaurant was full of people. Although this restaurant was an Indian Restaurant, I still can saw the spirits of 1 Malaysia as 3 main races of Malaysia such as Indian, Malay and Chinese eating at there.

When saw the menu, it has variety of choices include rice, noodles, roti canai and others. In this Restaurant also has some rice and dish that were cooked and you can direct choose from there.

I had chosen for Roti Cobra Ayam for try as the name of this dish is so cool that has the word of “Cobra”. When Roti Cobra Ayam was served, I just noticed that Roti Cobra Ayam is come with a combination of a cooked roti with a fried egg, chickens and cover with curry. This dish is simple and delicious but the curry is getting spicy when you eat more. When I felt spicy, I will drink Ice Lemon Tea to cool down.

My mother and sister had chosen for Mee Basah (Noodles) for sharing. When the Mee Basah was served, the plate looked big and inside has noodles, seafood, vegetables and fried egg. I think that the chef of this restaurant like fry egg as the noodles also can see has fry egg in it. My sister said that this noodle has a little spicy as pepper was added in this noodle.

My dad had chosen for Roti Kosong and Roti Planta. I did not take picture of those food because it is not much different with the Roti that we eat at other place. My sister like this Roti Planta as it has smell of margarine and delicious.
