Chinese Yoyo @ 扯鈴

Recently, my sister busy with practicing Chinese Yoyo because she needs to make performance at Labuan Buddhist Association soon. It was my first time to see REAL Chinese Yoyo because my place did not sell this stuff.

Based on Wikipedia, Chinese Yoyo is a toy from China consisting of 2 equally-sized discs connected with a long axle. The Chinese Yoyo is kept spinning on a string tied to 2 sticks at its ends.

The traditionally Chinese Yoyo was made by bamboo which was very easy to break and not convenient for complicated tricks while modern Chinese Yoyo was made by plastic (as picture) for added durability. The sticks used with yoyo continue to be made of wood.

Missing of Driving License

Recently my driving license had missing so I went to Jabatan Pengankutan Jalan (JPJ) to apply for a new driving license.

The things that need to bring to JPJ as below:-

a) Identity Card (IC)

I advise that better to bring a photocopy IC than photocopy at JPJ there because the day I went, the photocopy machine was dysfunction that I needed to photocopy at town.

b) Money for RM20.00

In JPJ, just needs to fill up a form that can get at counter there. After filling, the staff will  proceed it and can get a new driving license after a few minutes.

When I Was a Kid: Childhood Stories by Boey

This is the book about the life growing up of Boey. He presents his childhood stories by doodle with simple words.

When I Was a Kid: Childhood Stories

Inside View of the book

Telephone numbers

When I was a kid, I could remember telephone numbers that were 15 digits long right off the top of my head. Nowadays I have a cell phone with everything in it and I can’t remember anything.

Today I told a friend that when I was a kid, I used to pretend I was a typewriter everytime I ate corn on the cob.

Lo tech

I wasn’t a genius yet back then, but I’d always wondered why we were playing for “lo-tech” anyway? If anything, shouldn’t we be paying for “Hi-tech?”

It was only several years later that I realized it was “lo-tech” because my mom couldn't pronounce “road tax”. She said it so often that even my dad said “lo-tech”. I honestly don’t think he knew what it was either.

And when I got well enough, I would tell mom that I still wasn’t a hundred percent yet to squeeze one more day of “vacation” out of it.

I was happy I didn’t have to go to school, but I didn’t go anywhere either because I looked ridiculous.

Team work

The first time was when my dad showed me how easy it was to snap a single tooth pick.

Then he had many of them together, and it was impossible to break them in half.

But I didn’t know it was a lesson about team work. I just thought my dad was weak.

The stick

“If some uncle says he’s there to pick something up, what do you say?” she asked. “No, please come back later because my dad is sleeping,” I replied.

(I’m saying that because if they think my dad is home, they won’t try to break in.)

Hilarious 200 Plus Jokes

Hilarious 200+ Plus Jokes

After reading this book, I would like to share some jokes with you all.

1st boy: “Which question will be favourite to a dentist?”
2nd boy: “Fill in the blanks!”

Mala: “Where can you find success without doing any work?”
Reid: “In a dictionary”

1st man: “How will you distinguish a psychiatrist from the others?”
2nd man: “Simple: when an attractive woman enters a restaurant, every one will gaze at her. But a psychiatrist will watch the other’s feelings!”

A doctor who went on a ski trip, got lost in the icy mountain. He wrote “Help” on the snow. Minutes later, a copter flew past, but the pilot couldn’t read the doctor’s handwriting.

Doctor: “The cheque you have given me has bounced back.”
Patient: “So did my stomach ache, too!”

Beggar: “Please help me gentle man; my both eyes are blind.”
Passer by: “I’m auditor. Unless you produce a medical certificate from the doctor, I can’t help you!”

Brina: “You know, my grandma one day prayed to God Almighty to give her the skin like a teenager.”
Betty: “Has the God answered her prayer?”
Brina: “Of course. He did. The next day she woke up with pimples!”

Gagan: “A dog bit my leg this morning.”
Mohit: “Did you put anything on it?”
Gagan: “No, he liked it plain.”

Inmate: “Never mind the dog. Just come in.”
Visitor: “Does he bite?”
Inmate: “That’s what I want to know!”

Both the men were school mates. One became doctor and the other a dentist.
Together they set up a clinic, employing one single nurse. After some months they both loved the nurse. Meanwhile, the dentist had to go out of station for 10 days. Before leaving, he brought 10 apples for the nurse and left a letter for her that read:
“Meet you after 10 days. Meanwhile, take An apple a day……….!”
