Postcard Project: Patricia, Stay Strong!

Postcard behind story from Marie:-

I am never comfortable asking for anything since I am always a giver and not a taker. I just started a group where I send out cards of encouragement to others. I have been doing things like this for many years but only just decided to try it out on Facebook.

I am making this request for my sister in law. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and in 2013 discovered the cancer has spread despite the chemo and radiation treatments she went through. She is now at stage 4 and cancer cysts are still inside but lying dormant due to the high doses of medications she has to take. She is in lot of pain and most days, she seems depressed and crying. I send her a card every week.

I was wondering if anyone would be so interested and kind in wanting to send her a card/postcard with encouraging word to help brighten up her days and to let her know that others out there are thinking of her too. Please, if you do send one, DO NOT write ‘get well soon’ since for people with cancer, you never know which way they are going to go. Anything else will do, like stay strong, and keep the fight, anything else that you think will bring a smile to her face.

Through the long words that express from Marie, I can see that she was very care for her sister in law and wish to get many encouragements from many people for her sister in law. I had chosen a Ferris Wheel postcard to be sending as for me, ferry wheel is a wish or hope that can turn all the bad to good.

At the back of postcard, I had drawn an angle because I hope that Patricia will think that angle will always at her side to help or support. As usual, my drawing is not good so I had searched online to find the step to step draw an angle. I know that my drawing is not very nice but I hope that Patricia will like it.

Church Wedding of Andy & Brenda

8th August 2013

Early in the morning, my family and I had gone to my cousin’s house to see my beautiful cousin in wedding dress and her tea ceremony. My aunt had prepared breakfast and cakes for us. I love the window decoration which is cute and lovely.

Wedding decoration of window
It has 2 wedding cars which are one for groom and bride while the other is a cute and small car. Behind the cute car has tied up with some cans so when the car move, you can heard the sound of "kong..kong.."

Wedding cars
After tea ceremony, all of us moved to wedding ceremony in church. Going into church, the seat had been divided into two sides which are family side of groom and bride.

During the wedding ceremony, I was surprise to hear the speech of pastor as the way he talk was funny and meaningful. Pastor had said that he had seen my cousin and her husband had been locked together and the one who can unlock them is god.

Now, share with you some tips on managing a happiness wedding that told by pastor which as below:

Communication- Communication is like an antenna that both sides (husband and wife) must express their thought so that both of them will know the feelings of other side.

Accept- As the family background for both of them are different (example house also has different types such as make from wood, cement and so on) so both of them must accept the weakness of other side and help he/she.

Forgive- Husband and wife must learn to forgive each other as no one is perfect.

After finished listening the tips, my cousin and her husband must saw with each other and promise will follow the tips towards happiness wedding life. After that it will be continued by some wedding ceremony that declare both of them as husband and wife.

Christmas Swap from Irene

September 2013

27th November 2013

I had received Irene’s parcel at this day while my parcel had been early received by Irene. I like the stamps of parcel which looks cute.

This is some stickers that sent by Irene which are a girl and Winnie the Pooh. Yeah, I can use them on my postcard for decoration when send out the postcard.

Irene had gave me 4 postcards (1 postcard written and 3 blank postcards). It was my first time to receive Moomin postcard. Moomin is a favorite character in Finland.

In this parcel, has a small pink plastic bag that contains a reindeer Finland badge and a keychain.

Last is a Finland small flag decoration. I have no idea that where do I need to put for this flag so I just put it into my drawer.
