2016-02 Favorite Postcards Received

In February, my Postcrossing ranking as below:-
On 82nd most postcards sent from Malaysia
On 85th longest distance sent from Malaysia

This postcard is not mine, it belongs to Bella. The postcard has a beautiful illustration of Russia.

This postcard shows the traditional wedding which drawn by artist Alex Leong. The wedding situation being drawn is so beautiful.

When received this postcard, I was so surprised because it’s from Egypt. Egypt can consider as rare country because seldom people will receive postcard from there. I was so lucky!

Do you know what the postcard about? It stated “Thank you for the flowers”.

This postcard shows Belarusian national instrument which is Duda (Bagpipe). This instrument is so special.

Do you know how old is the postcard? Denis and Olga told me that it was printed more than 35 years ago (1980). The artist is Russian and he drew small river Viatka in summer.

This was my first time to receive postcard from Bali, Indonesia. Sonya had told me that in this small island, everyone are smiley to you so she was so surprised how pure they are!

Every time, I saw some words which I don’t know on postcard, I will try search via Google Translate. The word on postcard is very meaningful because it stated “You should share accept the joy, the beauty and the colorfulness of life”.

This was my first time to receive aurora postcard. It is so beautiful. I don’t know whether I will have chance to see aurora by my own eyes or not? Hehe…

The Paramount Hotel Sibu

To attend my friend’s wedding in Sibu, My friend had arranged us stayed in The Paramount Hotel because her wedding banquet held in there.

4th – 6th December 2015

At the first night, we stayed with bride in Paramount Suite. As I also stayed with other jimui or bridesmaids who were my first time met with so I did not capture the photos of suite, feel shy…Haha.. The Paramount Suite is big which has a living room (suitable for Chinese Wedding Door Games).

Near with the receptionist desk has restaurant which can enjoy the meal at there. I have not opportunity to try for the breakfast although I got the breakfast voucher because the first morning was very busy with my friend’s wedding and the next morning, my friend in Sibu took me hunt for food.

The room rate as below:-

Outside of hotel have some restaurants, lounge, barber shop and many more. If you can walk around 15-30 minutes I guess, you can reach for Wisma Sanyan, the tallest building in Sarawak. It is also the shopping mall.

At the next night, we moved to Junior Suite which suitable for 3 persons. The room is big and clean.

The bathroom is quite big with toiletries be prepare by hotel. When we stayed in Paramount Suite, all of us curious that why the water is so cold and did not have water heater. While we stayed in Junior Suite, we just found out that it has water heater switch. Haha..

The room is spacious with sofa, table, makeup table, cupboard, television and many more. The TV channel included TV 1, TV 2, TV 3, Fox Movies, ESPN, Super Sport, NTV7, AEC, Lotus TV and many more.

Inside the small cupboard has a small refrigerator is hidden at there.

Every day, you will receive a local newspaper for your reading.

Through the window can see garden, I think? In the evening, I can saw many people walk around or jog. When I stayed in Paramount Suite, I heard other friend complaint about they can listen noisy in the room but in this suite, I did not heard anything.  When moved in Junior Suite, I can hear someone sing Karaoke at night.

Urban Concept Homestay Kuching (Jalan Song)

Urban Concept Homestay is situated in the heart of Kuching hottest commercial area, Jalan Song. Most attractions are within 10 mins walk such as largest shopping mall in Sarawak City One Mall, the food paradise in Brighton Square and Premier 101 Commercial Centre, Kuching renown Friendship Garden, Waterpark, Starbucks, 7-11, and countless restaurants- TripAdvisor

I had opportunity to try for homestay when attended my friend’s wedding in early of December 2015. My friend had booked this homestay for us. The homestay is beside of Taska or kindergarten so I can hear the kids sang Christmas song in the morning.

Owner only give a pair of keys so keep it properly. The speed of automatic gate close is so slow after pressing the button. When close the gate needs to wait for the gate completely close to ensure the gate did not reverse.

The living room is big and furnished with sofa, television, table and many more.  In the living room has air-conditioner.

Beside of living room has a dining table. Near with dining table has a rack which WiFi modem at there. The password is stick on the modem. I did not have time to try for its WiFi so I not sure the WiFi is strong or not but most probably I think the WiFi should be ok.

The homestay feature a full kitchen with gas stove, full-sized refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, and others kitchenware. The supermarket is just across the road and you can buy ingredients at there.

Beside dining table near with living room, it also has another dining table which near with kitchen, refrigerator, utensils (spoon, plate etc) and oven.

One of the main features is the backyard patio/garden which is suitable for family BBQ or tea time. The backyard is so nice with mushroom design furniture. The time I went, the grass was longer.

Beside backyard, at the entrance there also has a table and chair.

At downstairs has a room which has single bed. Inside room has many extra beds and blankets.

Near with single bed room has a toilet.

At upstairs, beside rooms you can see sofa and table.

It has 3 rooms at upstairs. It has 2 rooms which sharing same bathroom.

The first room is my room which I stayed with another friend. Beside bed, it has a rack. All the rooms are equipped with air-conditioner. The air-conditioner in my room seems very old but very powerful because both of us feel very cold at night. I dislike the door because the door is so noisy when I close it.

The connected bathroom’s water of heater is not strong so most of the time I used water hose when bath. Homestay is not a hotel so remember to bring own toiletry.

This is another room which share same bathroom with my room. This room is bigger than my room because it has a makeup table and cupboard.

These 2 rooms did not have switch for handphone charging. Most of the time, I charged my handphone at living room.

This is master room which can accommodate more people. Beside air-conditioner, it also has a ceiling fan.

The room is big which has refrigerator, makeup table, television and big cupboard.

Inside of master room has own bathroom.

For those interested with this homestay can take a look at the business card which I took picture of. This homestay is not in town area so for those wish to go town to find cat statues, you need to have a transport.
