Wah May Hotel

In last year, my family and I went to attend my sister’s convocation in Kota Kinabalu so my sister had arranged a hotel for us to stay in.

22nd – 25th November 2014

The times we arrived was around 12 p.m. so we direct checked in hotel. We stayed at 3rd floor with standard twin room. It cost us RM 105.00 per night.

This hotel has provides lift but its lift is quite small which enough for 4-5 people.

At lobby has a reading corner which has travel brochures for your reference. It will help you to plan your future trip in Sabah.

The hotel is so nice which provide City Bus route for references. By knowing the route of City Bus, it will make your life easy as you know which route of bus that you suppose to take off to reach the destination that you want to go.

Based on Sabah Booking, the description of route as below:-

Sector 1

Route A: Route A starts at Wawasan Bus Terminal, travels along the waterfront all the way to Jesselton Point. It then turns along Tunku Abdul Rahman Street on the other side of town and heads back to Wawasan Bus Terminal.

Route B: This route starts off in direction Api-Api, goes past Centre Point and turns around at Wisma Merdeka. It then travels back past Wisma Wawasan, before making a u-turn at the Police HQ in Karamunsing and ending up back at Wawasan Bus Terminal.

Sector 2

Route A: This route starts at Wawasan Bus Terminal and goes via Berjaya Palace Hotel to the Sabah Trade Centre. It then returns via the KK Bypass to end up once more at Wawasan Bus Terminal.

Route B: Similar Route A, return at roundabout near Police Station of Traffic.

The room has 2 double beds which suitable for 4 people to stay in.

The washroom is small but clean which I quite satisfied with it.

It has provide some sanitary such as soap, shampoo and towel.

Inside of room has a small window which can see the view of shops in Kota Kinabalu.

This room has a makeup table, TV, chairs and small cupboard.

Talking about TV, we cannot turn on the TV so we asked the help of receptionist. The staff had come to our room to repair it. The staff told us that this floor still maintain using old TV while first and second floors had been changed to LED TV while third floor will be change to LED TV soon.

At the back of door has a simple floor plan to know where the emergency exit is in case has any emergency happen.

Besides that, it has a rule and regulation at the back of door such as ensure water faucets are completely turned off, keep the noise down to a minimum level and many more. It has includes a handwriting Chinese explanation.

This hotel was still using key as the way to access to the room.

Hotel did provide WiFi but the password need to request from the receptionist.

Kundasang Trip May 2014: Rose Garden

On the way back from Desa Cattle Dairy Farm, we had stopped at Rose Garden for a while.

The entrance fee to Rose Garden is RM 2.00 per person while children (5-11 years old) are RM 1. At the counter there has rose for selling. The price of 12 roses around RM 15 was quite cheap compare with florist . Next time can buy at here. My friend’s boyfriend was so romantic bought roses for my friend, so sweet!

In this post, we just enjoy lots of beautiful flower pictures.

Inside of this rose garden have lots of different types of flower which include cactus.

Besides that, the colorful of flowers made this garden looks so beautiful and cheerful.

The times we went, the strawberry was so so small and even in green color.

For those who are flower lover surely will like this place.

The parts which I love the most in this rose garden is cactus because it has lots of cactus such as small, big, fat, slim…haha..very interesting.

The times we backed, the sky was starting raining. Luckily that we safety back to Kota Kinabalu as it is so difficult to see the road when raining.

The landmark to find the Rose Garden will be 99 Wholesale Mart.

Wordless Wednesday: Rice Dumplings Postcards

'Wordless Wednesday: Postcard' is recording all the postcards that I had bought from time to time for exchange purpose.

This year, Rice Dumplings Festival or Dragon Boat Festival falls on 20th June 2015 (Saturday).  It usually falls on the 5th day of the 5th month of the traditional lunar calendar. During festival, people will eat *zongzi and racing dragon boats.

*Zongzi is a traditional Chinese food, made of glutinous rice stuffed with different filings and wrapped in bamboo, reed or other large flat leaves. They are cooked by steaming or boiling. In the Western world, they are also known as rice dumplings or sticky rice dumplings – Wikipedia

In this year, I can send rice dumplings postcard to my friends. These 2 sets of postcards are very cute.  Hope my friends will like it.
