Wordless Wednesday: 12 Days of Christmas

'Wordless Wednesday: Postcard' is recording all the postcards that I had bought from time to time for exchange purpose.

This postcards project is inspired by the hidden message within the lyrics of a catchy carolling song ~ THE 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS.  


A partridge in a pear tree symbolizes Jesus Christ, The Son of God
Two turtle doves symbolizes the old and new testaments bible
Three french hens symbolizes faith, hope, love, the three doctrines
Four calling birds symbolizes the first 4 gospel of the new testament or the 4 gospel authors of the new testament
Five golden rings symbolizes the book of moses, the moses pentateuch, which normally being referred to as the first 5 books of the bible. Marking how God pours his Grace upon us. 
Six geese a-laying signifying the 6 days of God creating heaven and earth
Seven swans a-swimming means the seven sacraments that Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Confession, Anointed oil, Holy orders and Marriage
Eight maids a-milking symbolizes the eight beatitudes of Jesus in Matthew 5:1-12
Nine ladies dancing symbolizes the nine fruits of the spirits as describe in Galatians 5:22-23 which is love. joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control
Ten lords a-leaping symbolizes the ten commandments
Eleven pipers piping symbolizes eleven faithful apostles
12 drummers drumming symbolizes the apostles creed which we also refer to as 12 articles
