The 5 Elements Hotel (Area in Chinatown)

At second day in Kuala Lumpur, my cousin and I had changed from Mangga Hotel to The 5 Elements Hotel as stay in Mangga Hotel is not convenience for us especially go out while stay in area of Chinatown will easy for us to take monorail or Light Rail Transit (LRT) to everywhere.

The 5 Elements Hotel
We had chosen Superior Twin that cost us RM 180 per night. I like the lobby of this hotel that looks big, clean and nice. As you can see, this hotel has Chinese style as The 5 Elements in Traditional Chinese Feng Shui means Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.

After done with check in, we went to our room by lift. After came out from lift, you can see that it has an illustration of tree at the front of lift’s door.

When went it our room, the room looks comfortable and big. At the wall of room also has a tree illustration. As I did not has much times spend in room due to we want to save more times in shopping so all of the pictures in room were snapped by me while my cousin was bathing after came back from shopping. Then, the room in pictures have a little bit messy as mixing with our own stuff.

Our room rate had included breakfast and WiFi password but we did not eat breakfast that provided by hotel as my cousin would like to try breakfast at Chinatown. For WiFi, the speed is good but the ones that I dislike in this room was the light because so romantic that the room was not bright even switch on all the lights. It really made me suffering while online as it will make my eyes tired.

The washroom has provided with body wash, shampoo and towel. The shower water made us confusions as the water’s temperature (hot and cold) will change from time to time and we did not find has any things to control the water’s temperature so we had tried bath with cool and hot water at different times. Really cannot expect what temperature of water will come out during bathing *Sweat*

The hotel also provided a mirror for us in room other than washroom so it is good as both of us will not need to share for a mirror. The disadvantage of this mirror is the location as mirror facing the bed is bad Feng Shui. Luckily that my cousin did not has any nightmare for her sleep.

mirror
If the mirror looks sideways onto your bed it is not a problem, why are mirrors in bedroom considered bad?

First belief: When you sleep at night, your soul is supposed to leave your body and when it leaves, the first things it sees is a reflection of itself and get startled and this is causes nightmares and a restless sleep.

Second belief: When you sleep, your body recharges itself with fresh Ch’i and negative Ch’i leaves your body. If there is a mirror facing you the negative Ch’i cannot leaves your body.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. After 2 nights, it’s time for us to go back to Labuan. At there, you can ask the help from hotel receptionist to help you find taxi driver to send you to airport. The taxi fee from hotel to airport cost us RM 90.

Wrigley’s Doublemint Blackcurrant Flavor

22 November 2013

When I was back from work, I was seen a parcel of City-Link on my table with a note that wrote by my sister as below:

你的City-Link 刚才不小心掉下来,不知东西有没有坏!Sorry! Bye! ^.^

My sister had helped me to receive a parcel and the parcel had been fall down so she wrote a sorry note to me as she was in hurry to join for a Buddhist camp.

After open the parcel, I had found out that inside was a Wrigley’s Doublemint Blackcurrant Flavor mint. Luckily it was made from steel tin so it was not broken even fall down.

This mint was applied by me at Doublemint Malaysia as it had offer samples deliver to home. For me, I had been tried the chewing gum for Wrigley’s Doublemint and this mint seem new for me so I gave it a try.

Wrigley’s Doublemint Blackcurrant Flavor is a sugar-free mints and it has 35 mints inside of it. When eat of it, I can feel a mint with blackcurrant taste that made me feel cool and fresh in mouth. Besides blackcurrant flavor, you also can try for Peppermint and Spearmint flavor too.

The Person That I Am Most Grateful of In Life

In our life, we will meet with many types of persons that inspire us, help us, care about us and others. In this post, I will talk about the person that I am most grateful of in life who is my father. My father is not just playing an important role in my family but he also playing as other roles in my life.

He is my father that starts to give me a warm and happy family when my mother was pregnant. As my family is not come from a rich family so my father need to work harder when I was birth because he is the only one money supporter in my family while my mother need to take care of me. One of my father’s quotes is “We can poor but we cannot poor of education” so even we are very poor but he still insist to send me study until University. I was very appreciating everything that done by my father because now I had found a good job after finished study.

Sometimes, my father will play a role as mother when my mother was sick or traveling. For me, my father is the best cooker. He can cook well because when he was small, he need to take care well of himself as his mother was very busy. I only know how to cook for simple dish so for the dish like frying fish definitely will need a help from my father.

My father likes to watch news on TV so he always share the moral behind news such as beware of  thief, don’t easily believe someone who you did not know about and others to my sisters and I. Indirectly, my father playing as a teacher role in my life too.

When I meet with problem, I always like to seek for my father’s advice. After hearing of my father’s advice, I feel like I had found a way to solve the problem. In my heart, my father seems like friends that willing to share my happiness and sadness in my life.

Last, sharing with you about how my father challenges with someone that likes to show off their smartphone. My father will challenge he or she with his outdated phone (phone only can call and SMS) that try to throw away own phone and see who’s phone is still function well after fall down. Until now, no one accept my father’s challenge because they did not dare to take a risk for their smartphone.

Mangga Hotel

During our trip to Kuala Lumpur (KL), the reason we stayed at Mangga Hotel was because of my cousin’s friends are staying around Serdang area so it is very convenience for us to find them if we have met with any problem.

First saw the name of the hotel, I tried to see whether this hotel has anything that relates to mango as in Malay language, mangga means mango.  After staying for 1 night, I still did not see has anything in hotel that can relate with mango, perhaps the owner like to eat mango. Haha..

Mangga Hotel
This Mangga Hotel has own travel agency so if you want to go around can check with its travel agency. If you wish to rent a van for a day (8 hours), the price is RM 400 so my cousin and I did not rent it as it is very costly for only both of us to rent a big van.

Room rate
My cousin had book the hotel room for superior twin about RM 89 per day which include government and service tax. We just stayed there for 1 day as there is not convenience for us to shop around and every time we go out need to take a taxi that make us spend a lot in transport.

Lobby
On the way to lift, we can saw that this hotel has a small convenience store that sells some food, drinks and necessary things. The lift only can take maximum of 4 people.

Drinks
When arrive at our room, after opened the door, we can saw had 2 twin beds, cupboard, TV and table. Our room did not have any windows and for those who love to have a window’s room need to pay extra RM 10 for it.

Beds
As my cousin was in rush to go for Chinatown to shop so all the pictures in room that took by me after came back from Chinatown so the room in pictures looks a little bit messy.

Air-condition
Cupboard
TV & small table
This hotel has provide free WiFi and the password for the WiFi is write on a piece of paper that place on the table that near with bed. I had tried for its WiFi and the speed for WiFi was good.

WiFi password is here!
Security box
Sliding door for toilet
The toilet is using sliding door and did not has any lock for it so just close it. Inside toilet also did not have any shampoo or body wash so remember to bring it yourself. Overall, the toilet is clean.

After put our things in hotel, it’s time for us to go Chinatown for a visit. As Chinatown is quite far from here so we planned to take a taxi to go there. The receptionist had provided us with phone number of taxi but the taxi driver was busy so we took taxi by ourselves at road which opposite of hotel.

Before taking taxi at opposite road, my cousin had made a call to taxi driver and through the conversation of my cousin and explanation of receptionist, I knew that Chinatown is located at Jalan Petaling and Jalan Petaling is not the same with Petaling Jaya so to avoid taxi driver to be more confuses, just talk to him that we want to go Chinatown than Jalan Petaling. Jalan Petaling in KL while Petaling Jaya in Selangor.

Lobby
In morning, we had check out from the hotel and wait for my cousin’s friends to took us to The 5 Elements Hotel which located in Chinatown as it is very easy for us to move around in KL by taking monorail compare stay in Mangga Hotel, Serdang which far away and inconvenience if did not has car.

Reading corner
During the waiting times for my cousin’s friends came, I had saw staff of hotel busy cleaning the hotel lobby. I also managed to read the magazine at lobby and most of the magazine were out dated but it’s ok for me as long as I did not read it before.
