Astana
The Astana is
a palace in Kuching, Sarawak (opposite the Kuching Waterfront). It is the
official residence of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, the Governor of
Sarawak. It was built in 1870 by the second White Rajah, Charles Brooke, as a
wedding gift to his wife, Margaret Alice Lili de Windt.
New Sarawak
State Legislative Assembly Building
The New
Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Building is the current state legislative
complex of Sarawak. It is the meeting place where state assemblymen from all
over Sarawak will meet and preside over debates and passing of laws. It is nine
storey building which has distinctive “payung” (umbrella) roof of the new DUN
complex is an iconic landmark for Sarawak.
The Square
Town
The Square
Town is located at Waterfront. It is a white cube-like structure in the shape
of a fortress. It was built in 1879 which used as a prison.

Historic walk
If I not mistake, it has 11 of historic plaques along the Waterfront so you can take picture or read it when walk along it. Then, you will learn a lot of Sarawak's history. I only show the pictures from History Walk 11 to History Walk 6, the rest discover by yourself in Kuching.
