Tawau Trip 2016 in Random

From 23-25 December, I traveled to Tawau with my family while 25-26 December was celebrating Christmas in Kota Kinabalu. The flight ticket from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau (return) cost me RM 123.08 with MAS Airline.

At Terminal Ferry, we just knew that we forgot to bring the ferry ticket. Luckily ticket can reprint at the counter. Next time must remember to take a photo of ticket as a proof in case ticket is missing.

Taking bus from Menumbok to Kota Kinabalu, we asked driver to drop us at bus stop of Kota Kinabalu International Airport. Every time go there will eat fast food because the choices are limited. This time I found out that at the back of KFC has Old Town Coffee Shop.

Near with Old Town Coffee Shop has small post office and clinic. As these 2 places are hidden, I think no much people know about it.

The Tawau airport is quite far from the far hence must early go there. We spent around 30 minutes++ to reach my grandmother house.

During Tawau trip, we rented a car in airport to go around. The car which we rented was Viva (Manual) which cost RM 120 per night. Before drive the car, we been told by the car rental staff that the car will automatically lock when you close the door so remember to pull out the key when go out.

Below is the brochure of car rental which I get from the counter.

First day of the trip, we were invited by my aunty to “夜来香” for a dinner. The foods in there are quite delicious and price is also reasonable. This place sometime will use for wedding dinner.

The shopping mall in Tawau is quite limited and that time I went to Eastern Plaza.

Pasar Sri Tanjung is a market beside sell vegetable and meat you also can find salted fish, cashew nut and amplang (a type of snack). This market is full of Malay people.

Near with Pasar Sri Tanjung, you can see a roundabout has the statue of an eagle want to eat a fish. Beside that local terminal bus also near with market.

Sin Onn Market is a market which completely manages by Chinese people. Some people said that compare the things with Pasar Sri Tanjung, at here is more expensive. After I went around, I found out that compare with Labuan market, here is cheaper. Example RM3 can get a big bun in Sin Onn Market but in my place, you need to pay RM5 for a big bun.

The pictures took by me during the trip.
