Chatuchak Weekend Market or Jatujak Market is one of the world’s largest weekend markets that divided into 27 sections and contains more than 15,000 booths selling goods. Most of the stalls open on Saturdays and Sunday.

Before entering Chatuchak Weekend Market, we had started to shop at the stalls that we met after came out from Chatuchak Park Station. After that, we walked into Chatuchak Weekend Market to eat breakfast. We just randomly find a stall to sit down and order.

My friends had ordered for rice as breakfast while I ordered for fish ball rice vermicelli. On every table have a big basin of sprout and the vegetable that I did not know the name of.

This weekend market is so big and has lots of things that can buy from here such as clothes, food, flower and so on.

Choconana

We had stopped at Choconana (The Chocolate Banana Stand) to try for chocolate banana. You can choose the toppings for the dips frozen banana in chocolate when order. I had chosen for cashew nut as toppings that cost me 45 Baht while my friend chosen for rainbow as topping. Besides frozen chocolate banana, one of my friends brought mango ice-cream stick.

It was my first time to see moving ATM. In this weekend market, I had met with ATM car that you can change some money from there especially currency exchange. I just wonder that whether I can use my Malaysia CIMB card to take money from this ATM or not? I think maybe can?

During shopping in weekend market, I had seen some people look at the map and I also knew that can take a map from the Information Counter as I saw someone blog about it before. This Information Counter is near with moving ATM. We had gone to Information Counter to get a map.

With the map, you can easily to find out the shop that you want to go as map stated clearly the place and the things that sell for. It will save many times. We had set a time to shop in this weekend market until 11.00 p.m. or 12.00 p.m. as we need to visit Art in Paradise so we can’t spend too much time in here.

At here, I also have seen DHL courier services that you can courier your things at DHL so that they will send your things to your house. As we did not buy too many things in this market so we still did not need to courier our things back. This service is suitable for seller from other places.

Clock Tower

If you sacred will get lost with your friends in this weekend market, then all of you can make a promise before enter that if lost, meet at Clock Tower here. Clock Tower is a good landmark for Chatuchak Weekend Market.

In this weekend market, I had saw chewing gum promotion that has free chewing gum giving from the white and pink clothes girl.

After that, we arrived at underground MRT Station which near with toilet. While waiting for my friend to come out from toilet, I had saw people eat coconut ice-cream.

The things that must try and recommend through online is Coconut ice-cream that use coconut as a base that did not same with the coconut ice-cream that I ate at Asiatique. I just think that whether Malaysia has coconut ice-cream or not as In Malaysia also has lots of coconut tree.
