Asiatique The Riverfront

Getting Here

Map
From BTS Skytrain: Saphan Taksin Station then walks around 10 minutes to take a boat to Asiatique and the boat runs until 23:00.

Asiatique the Riverfront is Bangkok’s first large-scale riverside project combining shopping, dining, sightseeing, activities and events under one roof.

05 July 2014 (Saturday)

Around 5.00 p.m., we came out from Platinum Fashion Mall and took BTS Skytrain to Taksin Station to reach for Asiatique. After came out from Saphan Taksin Station, on the way to terminal, I had saw a “Michael Jackson” sit on a chair and did not move. I think if you put some money in his small barrel, he will do some performance. Besides, “Michael Jackson”, I had seen a man singing at there.

The shuttle boat services is departing every half an hour from Monday to Sunday (10.00 a.m.to 10.10 p.m.) and public holiday (10.10 a.m. to 10.10 p.m.). When we at terminal, there already has a long queue up but when the boat arrived, many people get into the boat. My friends and I still managed to get into the boat as the boat was super full. As we were the last few people get into the boat so we just managed to stand on the boat instead of sit.

We were standing on the boat to enjoy the night view. When the boat near with Asiatique, the things that first saw by all of us was Ferris Wheel. The Ferris Wheel was so beautiful with some light on it.

Asiatique is so big that has 4 districts for you to explore such as Charoenkrung District, Town Square District, Factory District and Waterfront District. We just went here for a short walk and dinner so we did not spend many times in exploring as we also rush for the boat to go back hotel.

At here have many shops for you to shop for. As all of us were hungry so we look for dinner. At here also has so many restaurants that we did not know where should we eat dinner at. Finally, one of my friends suggests having dinner at Nan Yuan Noodle.
