'Wordless Wednesday: Postcard' is recording all the postcards that I had bought from time to time for exchange purpose.

This series of postcard is all about postcard while my favorite is KL (Kuala Lumpur) Transit Map that can be my references when I travel to KL. The postcard of Malaysian Currency very suitable to be send to postcard lover in other country as they will know the different of money value in Malaysia.

International Adapter

As this was my first time to travel oversea so I need an International adapter to charge my handphone, power bank and camera. I have no idea where to buy an international adapter in my place so my sister helped me buy at Golden Electrical & Home Ware, KK Plaza which cost me RM 45.

I choose the international adapter that with USB charger so that it can be used to charge 1-3 electronic devices at the same times which also suitable for ipad and iphone.  In Thailand, I had used it to charge my handphone using USB charger because I did not bring the handphone adapter. I found out that if I use the two USB charger to charge handphone and power bank at the same times, the power supply will be sharing. It means that the power supply will charge handphone first and follow by power bank or by rotation.

When I was back from Thailand, I told the power supply rotation problem for charging two electronic devices to my sister. Then, we found out that the 2 USB total outputs is 1200mA which means that the total output that need to charge for my handphone and power bank are more than 1200mA that made power supply rotation for both devices. 

When I write for this post, I found out that my international adapter did not convert electrical voltage so it might be one of the reasons that the problem of power supply rotation.  After I backed from Thailand, I also accidentally find out that international adapter can be buy at supermarket which as below:-

This international adapter quite same with mine except it did not has USB charger.

This is 3 in 1 international adapter which means that it has 3 types of international adapter that covers all major countries.

Labuan Mooncake Festival 2014: Floats Parade

 7th September 2014

Around 8 p.m., my family and I went to town to wait for floats parade. By take note with previous year’s mistake, I had success to record the floats parade which as below:-

The mistake that I done in last year was I kept rotate the screen when recoding so when play the video, my head need to keep rotate in order to watch it. Besides that, I also keep quiet almost all the times as last year I did talk with my sister that when watch the video can hear of my voice. In this video, I did talk but less.

Compare with last year, there were no much different but I more prefer last year’s parade because last year's parade more variety. When finished watched parades, I had saw Donald Duck and Daisy came out from other road to join for parade. Hmm.. Maybe they were late because of dating? Haha..

My sister’s friend who is a girl did dress up the dwarf's mascot. Through the video, you can see that when floats parade, one of the dwarfs did wave hand to my way as my sister stand beside me.  The dwarf that wave hand was my sister’s friend. She can see us but we cannot see her. Haha..

Do you see any familiar face in video? If you had been watched “Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant 2013” then you will saw the face of Erica (2^nd Runner-up) that wears as Elsa (princess in Frozen movie).

When saw of the before and after picture of mascot, I just spotted face of my primary school’s friend that he dress up as Mickey Mouse.

End up this post with the words that get from Borneo Combat Gym that I totally agreed with it which as below:-

Thanks for the contribution to Labuan society, is never easy to dress up the mascot and entertain peoples for almost 3 hours.

Licensed Money Changers in Labuan

As this was my first time travel overseas so I had went to few money changers to ask for the exchange rate. The money changer in Labuan that I knew was Arcade Money Changer (L) Sdn Bhd, Ranjit Store Sdn Bhd and Swagat Enterprise Sdn Bhd.

When I write for this post, I had searched online and found out that has another money changer in Labuan which is Bertam Mass Sdn Bhd that I get information from BNM Money Changers but by see the address, I did not where is the shop.

The money changers counter in Labuan usually in a shop that mostly operates by Indian while in Wisma Merdeka at Kota Kinabalu, there have many money changer counters in shopping mall.

I had asked for these three money changers and only Arcade Money Changers (L) Sdn Bhd has Thai Baht while the others two money changers were out of stock. Look like many Labuan people went to Thailand. The Arcade Money Changers (L) Sdn Bhd exchange RM 1 for 9.09 Thai Baht.

As my aunt always travelling so I had asked for her opinion and she told me that the time she went to Thailand during June 2014, the money exchange rate was as below:-

Arcade Money Changers (L) Sdn Bhd: RM 1,100 exchange for 10,000 Baht

Ranjit Store Sdn Bhd: RM 1,050 exchange for 10,000 Baht

As I had told my aunt that usually I will asked the money changer “How much RM 1 can exchange for Thai Baht?” My aunt advises me to ask in this way “How much Ringgit that I need to spend for 10,000 Baht” then calculates by self. It was because by asking RM 1 to exchange how much will make the money changer look down me.

As the rate given in money changer Labuan was no so good so I had asked my friend in Kota Kinabalu (KK) to exchange Thai Baht for me. The good exchange rate that can get in Wisma Medeka was 0.10150 so I had exchange 13,000 Baht for RM 1,319.50. The name of money changer that my friend helped me to change is Traveller’s Money Changer Sdn Bhd (License No. 00178) which located at Ground Floor Phase 1, Lot No. AG56 in Wisma Merdeka.

Money changer will usually give huge amount of money such as 1,000 Baht. If you use 1,000 Baht to buy things at stall, you will probably meet a problem that the owner will require for small amount of money and show unhappy face. Then when exchange money, remember to ask for small amount of money like 500 Baht.

I had learned that if I want to change Ringgit to Thai Baht then I need to see “We Sell” on the money changer’s board. When I come back from Thailand then I need to see “We Buy” section to get back Ringgit. The word of “We” refers to the money changer.

My First Passport 2014

The Malaysian International Passport is a valid travel document issued by the Malaysian Government for the purpose of travelling abroad - Immigration Department of Malaysia

Immigration Department of Malaysia: First tried

As in July, I will go to Thailand for holiday and I did not own a passport before so I had gone to Immigration Department in Financial Park to ask the document that I need to bring if I want to do a passport. The immigration officer told me that I need to bring my own Identity Card (IC), a copy of birth certificate for my mother and I.    

Passport Fee:

RM 100 for 2 years

RM 300 for 5 years

Immigration Department of Malaysia: Second tried

After lunch, I had gone to Immigration Department with the documents that require doing a passport. I had took a number ticket and wait for my turn. As that day did not have many people so my turn to go to Passport Counter was within 5 minutes.    

At Passport Counter, I had passed my entire documents to immigration officer for his process. Then, he asked for the original copy of birth certificate for my mother and I. As I did not bring the original copy of birth certificate so I cannot do for the passport.

Immigration Department of Malaysia: Third tried

12 June 2014

At lunch time, I had gone to Immigration Department again with original copy of birth certificate. At that day, quite many people went there so I wait around 30 minutes for my turn.

At Passport Counter, I had passed all the original birth certificates with identity card to the Immigration officer. Then, he started key in all my details to system and asked for my thumb print. After that, he asked me to sit properly as he wants to take a picture of me.

For the first picture, I had smile that can be seen my teeth so the officer asked me to close my mouth and take picture again. The officer also asked me to put some of my front hair to a side as he wants to see clearly of my forehead in picture.

After took picture, the officer had print out the details with my picture to ask me double check it. After confirm with the details, I need to wait for passport payment. After wait for around 15 minutes, had a couple started to ask for the payment and the officer ask them to wait for a while.

After 30 minutes passed which it seems like my lunch time will be finish so I had went to passport counter to enquiry. The officer also asked me to wait as has another officer was checking all the details. After 5 minutes, the officer asked me for payment. As I had chosen my passport validity for 2 years so I had paid for RM 100. 

16 June 2014

As 13 June 2014 was Friday and Immigration Department closed for praying so I cannot went to there to claim for my passport. Now, passport can be done during 1 hour.

In Monday, I direct went to Passport Counter to collect my passport. When collect it, I need to present my IC to the officer and followed by thumb print confirmation. After that, she went to a locker to find my passport. Last, she had asked me to double check the details in passport so that if has any mistake still can be change. After confirm with the passport details without mistake, the officer had given me a receipt.

That all for my passport story :)

Note:

For passport that unclaimed for more than 3 month, it will be cancelled and you cannot claim any expenses from government.

Postcard: Miss Ko- Restaurant Paris

This was my first time to hear about Miss Ko which is a name of Restaurant in Paris. Miss Ko is a young Eurasian amateur art, delights, curiosities and party, it has no face, her body tattooed is an open book on her life, she is the hostess of a place that bears her name without disclosing its function.

Miss Ko is imagined as the scenario of a spooky and unique restaurant experience. A comprehensive work whose director is Philippe Starck and the main heroine’s mysterious Miss Ko.

All the information above that I get from Miss Ko’s website. This restaurant gives me a mysterious feel when read about the concept of this restaurant. Last, when write of this post, I was so regret that I had sent out this postcard to someone because it is a blank postcard but never mind at least I had scan this postcard for my reference.

My Travel Checklist to Thailand

I had gone to Thailand on 3^rd July until 8^th July for my first overseas trip. Below is my travel checklist:-

Notebook

This notebook records the places that we wish to go, the BTS station, address of friends that I would like to send postcard to and many more. I also joint down some feeling for this travel for blogging purpose. Besides notebook, the note in phone also is one of the sources for me to take note about food we eat, price and so on.

Backpack

In order for me easier to go around, I had chosen to bring backpack. Luckily that I bring backpack instead of luggage because when I went to Kota Kinabalu by taking big ferry (no choice because ferry express only available in the afternoon) that need to go up and down stairs instead of taking ferry express.

Passport

Passport is like identity card in Malaysia so must remember to bring it. Before travel, you can scan a copy of passport and send to your email for emergency purpose (exp. lost of passport) or photocopy it and put in your luggage.

Money

As the exchange rate in Labuan is quite high so I had asked my friend in Kota Kinabalu to help me exchange RM 1,320 to Thai Baht with 10.15 rates. I had prepared two different purses to put my Ringgit and Thai Baht to avoid any confusing.

Recycle Bag/Shopping Bag

As Thailand is a shopping heaven so I had prepared a bag for shopping purpose that easily for me to put all my shopping haul in it. The bag that I bring can be fold into small when did not use which is very save space. 

International Adapter

My sister had helped me bought an International adapter which cost me RM 45 as the socket in Thailand is different from Malaysia.

Power Bank

I had brought a power bank for me to recharge my phone and camera during travel. As during travel, battery of phone and camera will so fast finish because of taking so many pictures.

Cap

My sister had borrowed me her cap for my Krabi trip to prevent my face sunburn. In Krabi, I had used it during small rain to prevent me to get headache.

Sunblock

Sunblock is essential to bring along for island trip to prevent become black girl. This Kiss Me SuhadaFit UV Daily Milk SPF 50+ PA+++ helps to protect me against UV damage while moisturizing my skin. This sunblock is a milk type that absorbs quickly into skin with leaving moist and smooth.

Medicine

I had brought some medicine for travelling such as fever, sore throat and flu. For those will feel dizzy during travelling can bring some medicine for it. Besides that, I also recommend to bring some medicine for indigestion discomfort because we may eat nonstop during travel that may cause indigestion. 

Mireica

I had brought some Mireica sachets for me to drink during travel as I found out that Mireica did control my pimple to getting out especially hot day.

Masks

I had brought 2 types of masks for me to pamper myself which as below:-

a. My Scheming Herbal Anti-acne mask

This mask contains orris and green tea extracts which can balance oil secretion and relieve youth oily skin problems. As Thailand is very hot so I use this mask to balance my face oil as many oil on face will cause pimple.

b. My Scheming Aloe Vera + Vitamin E Mask

During travel, we will less to drink water so I need to use this mask to nourish my face so that it will always looks moisture. Besides that, Vitamin E helps to brighten and whitens skin to make me has a smoother and brighter complexion.

Chrysanthemum Drink

Chrysanthemum tea is a warm and herbal beverage that by always drink it can prevent us from fevers, headaches and so on. Every night in hotel, I will made 4 cups of Chrysanthemum tea for my friends and I to drink so that we will not easily get sick.

There had been some checklist that I did not take picture of such as skincare, cloths, camera and wet tissue. After I came back from Thailand, I would like to add more some items for my future checklist such as energy bar or small biscuit (during travelling, we will not follow normal dinning time so when hungry can eat some snacks).  Besides that, do bring hair conditioner as my hair is very dry during travelling.

Dear teenager,

Do you feel embarrassed to ask question regarding your changer in body such as voice, pimple, appearance hair on body and so on? If yes, I do recommend you to read this book titled “What’s going on down there?” where you will find the answer for your curious. After reading this book, I do learn something about puberty of teenager although my puberty had been passed.

This book has contained some picture that made you easily to understand such as the function of organs. Besides that, Robert Leighton is an illustrator for the book that will not make you feel bore when reading this book.

Below are the exact that I copy from the book that for my knowledge:-

Sperm go from testicles where they are made, to the epididymis where they mature or grow up. Once they have matured, they travel through another tube, the vas deferens to a sort of holding tank called the ampulla where they are stored. Luckily the vas deferens has muscles to help push the sperm along. At this point in their lives, sperm are not very energetic swimmers and couldn’t get from the epididymis to the ampulla on their own.

Near the ampulla are two other organs, the seminal vesicles and the prostate gland. They provide fluids that give the sperm energy and help them travel through the penis. At the ampulla, the vas deferens connects with the urethra. The urethra is the tube inside your penis. It’s same tube that urine travels through when you pee.   

You can tell whether you have been circumcised by looking at your penis. Some boys have loose skin at the end of the penis that slides back to uncover the tip of the penis. This loose skin called the foreskin. If you still have a foreskin, you haven’t been circumcised.

*Circumcision helps prevent germs from collecting under the foreskin.

The uterus is the large triangular organ between the fallopian tubes. The uterus is also called the womb and it’s the place where a baby spends the 9 months before it is born, growing and developing. At the bottom of the uterus is the cervix, a knob of flesh with a small hole in the center. One purpose of the cervix is to help keep germ from entering the uterus. It also helps contain the baby inside the uterus. When the baby is ready to be born, the hole in the middle of the cervix widens so that the baby can leave the uterus and enter the vagina.

The vagina is the passageway into and out of a woman’s reproductive organs. By putting his penis into a woman’s vagina, a man can place sperm in her body. The vagina is also the way a baby gets out its mother’s body. The walls of the vagina are very elastic and can stretch wide enough to make room for a penis and even for a baby.

Twins can occur in another way as well. In this case, a fertilized egg splits completely in half, forming two separate babies. Since they started out from the same fertilized egg, these twins are identical. Not only do they look alike, but they are both the same sex.
