Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum

21 January 2017 (Saturday)

Many years ago, Lau King Howe Hospital is very big. Now Lau King Howe Hospital just maintains one block of it for museum purpose.

Lau King Howe Hospital was built in the 1930s as the first general hospital Sibu. Its founder, the late Mr. Lau King Howe, donated his personal wealth to set it up. In appreciation, the colonial government named it Lau King Howe Hospital.

One of my friends was birth in this hospital. When small, he always came to this hospital when he was sick.

This was my first time to visit medical or hospital type of museum.

The entrance for this museum is free of charge.

Inside of it can see much old equipment which used by doctor long time ago. That time the technology is not as good as now so it mostly is big in size.

Beside that you also can see the uniform for the nurses for that times which is quite beautiful.

You will find out this museum is quite interesting with the equipment exhibition in it.
