Go KL City Bus is a light purple bus which can take you to many places such as KL Tower, KLCC, Dataran Merdeka and many more. If you travel to Kuala Lumpur, I recommend you to use Go KL City Bus and it is free which suitable for big family.

Go KL City Bus has 4 routes which are Green Line (KLCC-Bukit Bintang), Purple Line (Pasar Seni-Bukit Bintang), Red Line (KL Sentral-Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman) and Blue Line (Medan Mara-Bukit Bintang). Go KL City Bus (Purple & Green Lines)

Iris Garden Hotel >> Bukit Bintang Station >> Kotaraya Chinatown Station >> Chinatown >> Central Market >> Hab Pasar Seni Station >> Muzium Telekom Station >> Telekom Museum >> Muzium Telekom Station >> KL Tower Station >> KL Tower >> Starhill Gallery Station >> Pavilion >> Connection >> Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) Tower >> Starhill Gallery Station >> Bukit Bintang Station (Monorail) >> Imbi Station (Monorail) >> Berjaya Times Square >> Imbi Station (Monorail) >> Bukit Bintang Station (Monorail) >> Iris Garden Hotel

From Iris Garden Hotel to Bukit Bintang Station to take Go KL City Bus, I had asked for receptionist the direction to the bus station. She told me that go KFC that side and go straight until end of corner and turn left. The bus station is at the front of Sahara Tent Minimarket. We had hop on bus when we saw a purple bus indicate ‘Purple Line’.

We went down from bus when it was arrived Kotaraya Chinatown Station. In bus had showed the next bus station on the monitor. In Chinatown, We were having breakfast at Tang City food court.

After having breakfast, we went around. I bring my family to Guan Di Temple when on the way to Central Market. The temple is a beautiful Taoist temple. It was built in 1888 to honor the great warrior Guan Di, the Taoist God of War.

Central Market is the center for Malaysian culture, art, heritage and craft. When in Central Market, we walked on Kasturi Walk and see around at the stalls. We want to go Central Market Annexe but it was closed because we were quite early to there. The opening hour is 10 a.m. so we did not wait for it open and took bus to Telekom Museum.

Inside of Central Market Annexe has Illusion 3D-Art Museum which you can take pictures with 3D paintings. The operating hours from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. daily which including public holiday.

The Hab Pasar Seni Station (Go KL City Bus Station) is at the front of Geo Hotel.  Then we stopped at Muzium Telekom Station and walked to Telekom Museum. After spending some times in Telekom Museum, we went back to Muzium Telekom Station and took bus to KL Tower Station. After arrived KL Tower Station, we walked to KL Tower.

In the afternoon, we went back to KL Tower Station and take Go KL City Bus to Starhill Gallery Station because we plan to have lunch in Pavilion. Starhill Gallery Station is at Starhill Gallery which you can see Louis Vuitton (LV) shop.

LV shop- Opposite of Pavilion

In Pavilion, Quizinn is always our choice because inside of it has lots of choices. In these few days, my favorite stalls are Ah Yip Herbal Soup and Lao You Gui Gui. Away from the house, I did not drink any soup so I miss with my mum’s soup. When I saw Ah Yip Herbal Soup, I was very happy and ordered a set lunch. The taste of the soup is good. Lao You Gui Gui is main on porridge, You Tiao (Chinese doughnut), soya bean and some side dishes.

Dolsot Bibim Bap Vege @ RM 17.90
After lunch, my sister had left her convocation bear in food court which she wants give the bear to her junior. We realized bear was missing during the way to KLCC Tower. After visit KLCC, we tried to look for bear but cannot find it even ask for cleaners.

In Pavilion has a Connection which can link to KLCC by walking so we walked to there. For us, it has a little bit far because in Labuan, we usually park our car near with the place we want to go so the distance from Pavilion to KLCC is considering a bit far. Like my cousin who work in Kuala Lumpur, it is considering near for him because the parking fee in mall is so expensive so usually he walk to everywhere.

Before go into Pavilion, you can see Connection at left side while in Pavilion, it also at the left side of main entrance. It has showed the way to Connection. If still cannot find can ask around. The Connection is good because we did not need to cross road to KLCC and it is air-conditioning.

The Connection will guide you to a mall, at there just need to take an elevator up to a floor and can see entrance. Go out from entrance and walk around, you can see KLCC. The Petronas Twin Tower or KLCC is one of the tallest towers in the world.

The best place for taking picture with KLCC is at a bridge in KLCC Park. If not, at fountain there also can take picture with whole KLCC. When backed, we took Go KL City Bus of Green Line to Starhill Gallery Station and walked to Bukit Bintang Monorail Station as we want go Berjaya Times Square for shopping. We stopped at Imbi Monorail Station and directly we can go in the mall.  After having dinner, we also took monorail back to hotel.

Go KL City Bus (Red & Blue Lines)

At next day, we plan go to Dataran Merdeka because want go to KL City Gallery. We were having our breakfast at Jalan Alor. After that we took Go KL City Bus from Bukit Bintang Station to Chinatown because my sister wanted to buy the bear. Then we took bus back to Starhill Gallery Station and wait for Go KL City Bus with Blue Line because we need stopped at Medan Mara Station and took Red Lines Go KL City Bus to Dataran Merdeka.

In bus, I cannot saw has monitor indicator for next bus station so I refer to my printed bus routes map. I discovered that I cannot find those bus stations in the map so I did not know where we are. After a while, the bus stopped at bus station and all people came out from bus. Then I tried asked from bus driver.

The bus driver like a teacher that nagging  “Sombong lah” Bus driver was said I was arrogant because when I took his bus, I did not ask for him but when I was at wrong bus station I went to ask for him. Haiz.. What kind of bus driver. I just want to try for myself first. The bus did not stop at Dataran Merdeka because it has road closing.

A staff had went into the bus and asked we went down of bus and took the first bus if want so my family and a foreigner couple/husband and wife went down from bus. We took the first bus at bus stop and I had asked will the bus stop at KL Sentral and the bus driver say it at last station.

We changed our plan and did not go to Dataran Merdeka because it was quite far if stopped at next station of Dataran Merdeka. This bus had monitor indicate next bus station and I found out that some bus stations not in my printed route map but I still can guess of where am I.

I planned we went down from KTM Kuala Lumpur Station. At KTM, I had asked for the location of ticket booth. In KTM, my sister was fall down when she wanted cross the shackle. My plan to Sasana Kijang needs to cancel because my sister felt a little bit faint and we went back to hotel.

When I wrote for this post, I just wonder that I had wrong printed routes map, no wonder I cannot find Hospital Damai and some bus stations in the map. Moral of the story was next time tried to get the map from website instead of Google Picture.

Try look for Kuala Lumpur Walks and Tours Map because inside of it has KL map, discounts and information. For 20th Issue or October 2015, it had discount voucher for Aquaria KLCC, Sunway Lagoon, Theme Park in Berjaya Times Square and many more.

Through the brochure, I just knew that we can experience FREE Dataran Merdeka Heritage Guided Walk around 2 ½ hours walk on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. which is a great experience to know more about KL.

Besides that, we can also experience FREE Kampong Bharu Heritage Guided Walk around 2 ½ hours walk on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 4:30 p.m. and the meeting point at Kelab Sultan Sulaiman. For more information can read from Visit KL Website.
