This part is more on main dish like kampua, laksa, raw meat noodle (Sheng Rou Mee) and gong pia.

When having lunch at here, I suddenly saw a familiar face (suddenly forgot her name) so I wave hand to show “Hi” to she and she also smile and hi with me. Then, my friends who seat with me curious who I wave hand with so she takes a look and saw the girl who is also our Uni friend. Then, all of us sit together and start chatting. Uni friend been married and has a kid.

This is kampua which cooked by female owner. If you want to try for the original kampua, order for white kampua.

The mall in Sibu seems very good because no need to pay for parking. After go around in the mall, we went to Thomson Corner. It has 2 branches in Sibu. My friend told me that the branch which outside the mall has gong pia or Chinese begels.

We ordered peanuts soup (RM 3.50), Momocacar (RM 3.50), Sieng Chau santan (RM 3.00) and laksa in large (RM 7.00) for a try. The desserts can be choosing hot or cold.

My Kuching friend told me that this laksa is almost same taste with the laksa in Kuching.

Sieng Chau or grass jelly usually served with soy beans milk but this time is with santan which is quite new for me. It tastes good.

Wan Li Sheng Rou Mee (万里生肉面)

Kota Kinabalu is famous with Sang Nyuk Mian or raw meat noodle. This time, I tried for Sarawak version. The noodle is using Kampua as a base.

We ordered white and black (soy sauce) noodle. The white noodle has a best taste although it seems tasteless with its color.

The meat inside the soup is so tender.

Leong Leong Café

This café (Rejang Park) has a long history since 1984. Talking about gong pia, we usually eat for dry gong pia but this shop has wet gong pia. The gong pia in this shop is very delicious which include its desserts or drinks.

The wet gong pia is soaked in the gravy of 5 spices and soy sauce. If want me to choose dry or wet gong pia, I will choose dry gong pia because it is so crispy. The wet gong pia is soft.

Qu Lin Resident

[Itinerary]

Qu Lin Resident is near with Sungai Merah Heritage Walk. At night, the bridge is so beautiful with the lights.

Near with Qu Lin Resident has Wong Nai Siong Memorial Garden which you can pay for visit. Wong Nai Siong lead the Foochow settlers from China to Sibu.

Qu Lin Resident is some like a house concept. It did not have lift but has stairs. It is very high in security because you need to flash access card before go in.

Those pictures which taken by me seems messy because of I did not immediately take the room pictures upon go in.

The room is quite big with double bed and some unmovable furniture such as table and chairs.The TV channel only has TV1, TV2 which are those free TV channel. The WiFi in the room is no so strong so sometime I will use my mobile data to online. The switch plug inside of the room has three which is more than enough for 2 persons to use it.

The bathroom is quite big. It has bath liquid which inside a small box attached to the wall. When bathing, you can choose for hot or cold shower.

Qu Lin Resident is no providing daily cleaning. It will be clean up the room upon check out.

For 3 nights stays, we paid for RM 206.10 which including 6% tax. It means that it around RM 68.70 per night for double bed without window. The only disadvantage of without window room is did not know what happen outside. For the view, it only has lots of green trees so choose for without window room also ok.

The best about Qu Lin Resident is it offer FREE transport transfer from or to hotel. I only use for its transport services when back.

Tiger Emperor Temple

[Itinerary]

I thought that Tiger Temple only in Thailand, now I just knew that Malaysia also have which in Sibu. My friends bring me to this temple as this temple quite near with his house so he knew how to go. The entrance for the temple is so special like a cave.

It is very small in size but worth to pay a visit.

Inside of the temple have 7 big tiger statues.

Sibu Trip 2017

My first trip of the year was going to Sibu. In this year, Tourism Malaysia encourage to go Sibu because is “Visit Sibu Year 2017”. The landmark for the Sibu is swam so when I knew that the mascot for “Visit Sibu Year 2017” is a crocodile which made me curious and tried find some information about it.

The mascot for the Visit Sibu Year 2017, BUBU was unveiled for the first time, a crocodile that symbolizes a warrior welcoming visitors to Sibu. The mascot’s name is an abbreviation of “Bujang Sibu”, derived from the name of legendary Sarawakian crocodile Bujang Senang- Sarawak Tourism

On the way to Suria Sabah, I saw that beside of Jesselton Point has a new shopping mall which still under construction. Perhaps next time to Kota Kinabalu, the mall is done and can pay a visit.

This was my first time to visit library in Suria Sabah (Level 4). The library is not too big with limited table and seat. The books are arranged according to the categories and 3 languages (English, Malay and Chinese) of books put in same categories on the rack.

Inside library has kids’ corner which need to take off your shoes before step into. As the time I spent inside library is no longer so I chose to read a comic book. Beside of me has two Malay girls who doing their Science assignment which was drawing the organ.

The MAS flight from Kota Kinabalu to Sibu takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes. Inside of flight, I enjoyed with sandwich and orange juice.

The time I went to 1 Malaysia Cultural Village has a light rain. After finished visit, the rain was stop so I can pay a visit to Taman Bukit Aup Jubilee Park. Both of them are near with each other.

From 17-22 January, it has Victor Far East Malaysia Masters 2017 held in Sibu Indoor Stadium. Many badminton players from many countries will come here for a game. It has a photo booth for you to take picture with and a big badminton racket too.

My friends assisted me to take cool looks pictures with the big racket but I kept laughing. Haha..

At stadium have some stalls for you to buy some badminton equipment and food. Some stalls offered free entrance ticket when you purchase more than RM 100 of equipment.

During my first visit to Sibu, I just managed to take picture with the words of “Sibu Heritage Centre” but did not have time to go in. Inside of it has souvenir shops and museum. The museum is no allowed to take picture.

My friends helped me took pictures so asked me sit at there and use hand to made my hair fly :P After the action of “fly” my hair, I kept laughing because it is so funny, I cannot gently do it. Haha..

After visited Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum, my friends told me that this apartment will be the landmark for Sibu.

I been visited Tua Pek Kong Temple during day time. At night the Tua Pek Kong Temple is very beautiful with some lights and lanterns. I saw some Malay girls also came here to take some pictures.

The Doraemon Store is like a supermarket which has grocery, clothes and many more.

Fong Hwang Sun Ur Par Wong Kong Temple is a newly finished renovation temple which located near with the road.

Star Mega Mall is quite big and has many shops inside of it.

My friend wanted me to try for sea cucumber soup therefore we were having dinner in Xiang Le Yuan.

Farley is one of the supermarkets in Sibu. Near with Farley has Sing Kwong supermarket.

My flight reached KKIA around 2.10pm and my next flight to Labuan was 9.05pm. It has a long gap between of it so I tries to ask whether can change the time to 6pm something or not. As I purchased the flight ticket for Chinese New Year Promo price so I cannot change the time to become early.
