Vietnam Trip 2017: Cititel Boutique Ben Thanh Hotel

22nd February 2017 (Wednesday) - 26th February 2017 (Sunday)

Basically taxi will put you in front of Saigon Night Hotel (if I not mistake for the name of hotel) which near with the main road because the road goes in to Cititel Boutique Hotel is quite narrow and mostly full of motorcycle.  It is just a short distance walk to hotel, you just go straight and turns right then turn left.

From 1 November 2016, the name of “Aries Ben Thanh Central Hotel” changed to “Cititel Boutique Ben Thanh Hotel”.

This trip consists of 1 man and 3 ladies therefore we booked for Family Suites through Booking.com. We paid in 2 currencies because my friends found out that paid in USD was more save (around RM 22) than paid in VND. As I don’t have USD so I paid in VND.

Room Rate for Family Suite for 5 days 4 nights are 244.28 USD which included 10% VAT (room rate: 222.08 USD). My friends paid 180 USD and I paid for 1,479,000 VND.

The room that we stayed has a big room which has a double bed with 2 single beds. Between double bed room and single beds room has a door to show privacy. Both rooms also has TV but the single beds room’s TV not function well so I mostly online.

Near with double bed’s room has a small balcony but no much view can see from there, only tall building. Beside that the only wash room is near with double bed room.

Inside single bed’s room has a mirror, chair, table, cupboard, refrigerator, kettle and many more. It has a ceiling fan in this room. Inside cupboard has hair dryer.

The WiFi in room is good.

The washroom is equipped with toiletries such as shampoo, brush, soap and many more. You can enjoy hot or cold water while shower.

The hotel provide breakfast which start from 6:30am to 9:00am at level 8 (need to walk by stairs to there, lift until level 7). I found out that if too early go for breakfast only 90% of dish you can enjoy compare late to there. I knew it when I went there after 7:00am, it has noodle soup and salad sauce. Perhaps these two dishes took time to prepare. I like its salad sauce which is not the one which is creamy type like mayonnaise, taste a bit sour and nice.

The environment in level 8 is good. The breakfast provided such as noodle, fried rice, vegetable, potato, porridge, bread, ham, salad and many more. For the drinks have warm water, coffee and juice.

This hotel is at Nguyen Trai Street which is Fashion Street so you can walk nearby for shopping. Near with hotel also has Hong Hoa Bakery (Opla) and Banh Mi Huynh Hoa (online highly recommend) which I did not have time go for it.

The hotel can help to call for taxi service.

Tips:
1. To avoid get lost, on the way to Pham Ngu Lao Street, you will see Hotel Le Duy and KFC.
2. When out from hotel and at the roadside, go to Starbucks way and go straight can reach Ben Thanh Market.

3. When saw this statue on roundabout, its mean hotel is very near.
