i-City Theme Park

In September, I had gone to Kuala Lumpur for a short trip. We decided go to i-City theme park in Shah Alam for 1 day trip. After having breakfast in Bukit Bintang, we took Monorail to KL Sentral and then take KTM to Padang Jawa Station.

Before this, I had taken a look for the map of i-City and thought that from KTM Station to i-City seems very near. As did not know how to walk to there, we took taxi.  When in taxi, I had asked for taxi driver whether i-City can be reach by walk. The taxi driver told me that your leg will be broken if you walk to there because it is so far. Luckily, I did not try to go there by walk. Haha..

After around 15-20 minutes, we reached i-City. Taxi driver let us down at the entrance of i-City because if his taxi stop inside i-City then he need to pay for entrance fee and our taxi fare will need to add on. At the entrance, we had seen a big Ferris wheel.

From  KTM station to i-City, taxi driver charged us RM 15 per way. When we back, we just need to call taxi driver and he will come to fetch us by charging RM 20 per way.  Our taxi driver, Mr. Razali is a friendly taxi driver. In the taxi, we did having a small discussion about Malaysia politics issue and he had showed us some videos.

During our visit, everywhere is full of haze so we cannot see the blue sky. Therefore we quickly find ticket booth to buy for ticket.  Ticket booth is near with Water Park.

In i-City, all the activities are using i-Card. First you need to buy an i-Card and top up the money into the card so you need to know which activity that you want to play with so that the staff can help you to count the total of top up that you need to pay.

Three of us are first time to i-City so we need to buy an i-Card to top up our money. The price of an i-Card cost RM 10 which valid for 2 years (RM 2 is charged for the card and inside of a new i-Card has RM 8). Three of us can use the same i-Card for all the games because an i-Card can has multiple users.

You can ask the staff for the map so that you will not get lost in there. The restaurants in i-City are very expensive and some restaurants are using cash instead of i-Card.

In i-City, three of us did not spend many times to play all the games but we just visit Red Carpet Wax Museum and Trick Art Museum.

Bukit Bintang: Apple Hotel

When visit Kuala Lumpur, it is a benefit to stay around Bukit Bintang area because it has many shopping malls around such as Lot 10, Sungai Wang, Pavilion and many more. Besides that, it is near with Bukit Bintang monorail which easily for you to go around. You also will not hungry if stay at Jalan Alor, a road which full of food stalls.

It is very normal when you ask around for the location of Apple Hotel, some people did not know about it because Bukit Bintang area has lots of hotel. Therefore you can ask for direction to Jalan Alor instead of Apple Hotel and sure people will know it. Apple Hotel is located on Jalan Alor so when you on Jalan Alor, you are very near with hotel.

During check in, the receptionist will ask for RM 100 of refundable deposit. For Wifi Password, you need to ask for receptionist.

At the hotel lobby, it has water dispenser which you can refill your mineral water anytime. At “Cuti-cuti Malaysia” corner, you can take some brochure for reference. In there also has KL map brochure which I had taken one for me to refer to.

At another side of lobby, you can surf internet with the laptop provided. It has a big KL Map drawing which you can take picture with.

I had booked for Family Deluxe room which can fit for 4 people. The room and bathroom are small. You need to bring your own toiletries because hotel did not provide.

Apple Hotel did provide FREE breakfast so remember to bring your breakfast voucher.  It is located at 6th floor and climbs a floor of stairs to reach balcony. It is just a simple breakfast buffet such as rice, noodles, egg and drinks. The choice of breakfast is limited but you can take again if did not enough.

Apple hotel is a budget hotel so the design for the room and bathroom are small. My friend who very emphasize on cleanness has a little bit dissatisfaction with the bathroom. The wall of bathroom has some dirt which I think result of cleaner did not clean it properly.

For those are interested can book the room via website of Apple Hotel because it offers discounts from 15% until 25% for early bird.

Kuala Lumpur Trip September 2015 in Random

On 12th until 14th September, I had a short gateway to Kuala Lumpur. In this post, I just randomly express my feelings and record some memorable experiences.

1. In this year, I had searching some information before go to Kuala Lumpur because need to have some basic transportation knowledge as my last visit to Kuala Lumpur was on year 2013 which most of time guided by my cousin.

2. My phone just has the food pictures of Quizinn (Clay pot & Western) in KLIA 2 and Korean Dish in Pavilion.

3. My first tried to use bus from KLIA 2 (1st floor) to KL Sentral. Bus ticket cost RM 11 per person which took around 1 hour to arrive. My sister and I met with a friend come from Melaka in KLIA 2. I just knew that it has bus service from KLIA 2 to Melaka.

4. KL Sentral is link with NU Sentral shopping mall. For taking monorail, need to take escalator up to NU Sentral and then take escalator down to 2nd floor.  When I visit to NU Sentral, it has some fun activities such as snake and ladders, chess and many more.

5. In Pavilion, I knew that there have a walkaway which can link to KLCC but did not know where the walkaway is so had asked a security. At first, when heard the answer of security, I was blur because did not know what he said. Then when I heard it clearly, the security talked to me in Cantonese. Luckily, I knew some simple Cantonese so I can understand what he said. He told me that it did not have walkway to KLCC, need to take train.

I did not quite believe the answer of security so I asked another staff of Pavilion. The staff had told me the way to walkway. When you at the entrance of Pavilion, turn left and follow the signboard of connection.  When look for walkway, my sister had seen some artists have a drink in a restaurant. Therefore, we asked for photo taking with them. They came to KL for next year’s Chinese New Year movie.

He is C-Kwan who is the member of Hong Kong Hip Hop group, FAMA. Recently he had starring in a Hong Kong drama called “Ghost of Relativity”.

She is Patricia Mok who is a Chinese Singaporean actress. I always watched Singapore drama so I knew her too.

6. Pavilion is a shopping mall which has many branded stores. You can spend for your day in Pavilion with their activities because at there have many meaningful activities. During my visit, it has “Seeding My Hope” activity which you can write your hope for Malaysia. I had saw many foreigners also write down their hope for Malaysia on a small flag.

Recently many people crazy about anti-stress coloring. In Pavilion also has coloring activity which you can color a big picture with the color pencils that provided. This activity organized by Stabilo Malaysia.

7. During this trip, it was my first time to meet with blogger, Kakalina. Kakalina is a low profile people therefore I cannot disclose her face but I can said that she is a pretty lady. Thanks a lot for she and her boyfriend’s dinner treats. During dinner, she had shared with me her Sabah University life story.

8. Sometimes when get lost, asking around is faster and better than find map.
