Appreciate Night 2012

On 18 November 2012, I had accompanied my family went to Labuan Buddhist Association. My sister was having holiday camping in there and at that day, all the youths ( participants of the camp) need to do some performance for all the parents see that what they had learned during the camp.

Buddhist Priest had asked all the participants stand up and said to all the parents that “Daddy Mummy, I love you!” (In Chinese). The purpose was to rise the awareness of appreciate to parents.

When housekeeping my phone SMS, I had found this creative introduction SMS from my friend that we had long time did not see each other.

 Usually, the SMS that I received or sent sound like:-

Long time no c, how r u lately?

Compare with above two, the first will be the best. Next time, can use this as an example. :D

Triangle Stamp- Yes to Life, No to Drugs (Malaysia)

Normally, the stamp has a shape of square but these stamps are so unique that have a shape of triangle.

Missing of Driving License

Recently my driving license had missing so I went to Jabatan Pengankutan Jalan (JPJ) to apply for a new driving license.

The things that need to bring to JPJ as below:-

a) Identity Card (IC)

I advise that better to bring a photocopy IC than photocopy at JPJ there because the day I went, the photocopy machine was dysfunction that I needed to photocopy at town.

b) Money for RM20.00

In JPJ, just needs to fill up a form that can get at counter there. After filling, the staff will  proceed it and can get a new driving license after a few minutes.

Telephone numbers

When I was a kid, I could remember telephone numbers that were 15 digits long right off the top of my head. Nowadays I have a cell phone with everything in it and I can’t remember anything.

Corn

Today I told a friend that when I was a kid, I used to pretend I was a typewriter everytime I ate corn on the cob.

Lo tech

I wasn’t a genius yet back then, but I’d always wondered why we were playing for “lo-tech” anyway? If anything, shouldn’t we be paying for “Hi-tech?”

It was only several years later that I realized it was “lo-tech” because my mom couldn't pronounce “road tax”. She said it so often that even my dad said “lo-tech”. I honestly don’t think he knew what it was either.

And when I got well enough, I would tell mom that I still wasn’t a hundred percent yet to squeeze one more day of “vacation” out of it.

I was happy I didn’t have to go to school, but I didn’t go anywhere either because I looked ridiculous.

Team work

The first time was when my dad showed me how easy it was to snap a single tooth pick.

Then he had many of them together, and it was impossible to break them in half.

But I didn’t know it was a lesson about team work. I just thought my dad was weak.

“If some uncle says he’s there to pick something up, what do you say?” she asked. “No, please come back later because my dad is sleeping,” I replied.

(I’m saying that because if they think my dad is home, they won’t try to break in.)
