Moon cake from Vietnam

On August, my aunt had been travel to Vietnam. When she was back, she had been brought moon cake from Vietnam for us to have some taste on it. It was my first time to eat moon cake which is not “made in Malaysia”.

This moon cake is durian flavor with plastic packaging which easy to bring especially for traveller like my aunt. After opened the packaging, the moon cake did not look nice but when eating it, I can feel the taste of durian.

This is homemade moon cake which made by my aunt in Tawau. She is so talent in baking and she also makes some moon cake for sell too. The shape of this moon cake is so special which like a shape of pear. My aunt’s moon cake has yellow yolk inside and it also taste good and delicious.

After eating for the third moon cake, the moon cake is Pandan flavor and I had forgotten to take a photo of it. Actually it is not much different with the picture as below while the different is that the inside of moon cake is in green color.

2^nd – 4^th September, my house had been experienced for short period disruption water that started from 2pm and end on 8pm. Disruption of water had been interrupt with my masking times as I cannot mask with ePure Membranous Jelly Masque because I need to wash the jelly mask after using it. It is not so convenience although disruption water ended on 8pm because on 8pm afterwards the water that first comes out from pipe was in yellow color which looks dirty.

On 4^th September, suddenly I had thought of blueberry powder sheet mask that in HiShop August Beauty Box which very suitable for me to use especially during disruption water because I just apply it on my face and did not need to wash it after use.

How to use:

The overlab powder mask is meant to be soaked with serum ONLY upon application.

1. After stabilizing the skin with toner after face wash, gently press the ampoule on the upper part of the pouch with following the arrow.

Press following the arrows (refer above picture): Purple Arrow >> Yellow Arrow

2. Press everywhere so as for the ingredients to be evenly soaked into the lower sheet.

3. Allow the mask to soak for 10 minutes and apply on cleansed face.

4. Rest comfortably for 15-20 minutes and remove mask.

5. Remove the mask and let the skin absorb the remaining essence by gently petting the skin. 

The mask that I normally use is tearing the packaging and apply it on face while this mask is a little bit different with the mask that I usually use. Why I say like this because using this mask such like play a game that you need to complete level by level in order to get the reward  which is enjoy the mask on face.

When tear the packaging to get the mask, I have smell a nice scent of blueberry that remind me of the smell of Rebina (blueberry based soft drink). After applying the mask on my face, I found out that my face become more moisturizing and freshly.

Postcard Project: Motivate Natalia to Study English

Postcard behind story from Milena:-

My cousin’s daughter studies English but she has lots of problems with it. I am supposed to help her with that (yeah, with my poor English) so I thought that it would be nice if she could see how useful it can be to know English reading some cards from people from all over the world.

Natalia (11 years old) is not so good at English so please use some easy words and phrases that she could understand and practice her Basic English knowledge. Don’t hesitate to use some harder words –she will check them out in dictionary and (hopefully) memorize and please don’t use slang, let’s stay with Basic English taught at school.

Actually, my English also not very good because during school times, I always have grammar errors in English thus I choose a joke to Natalia and hope that she will find out the fun of learning English. The joke that I had chosen as below:-

Daffy: I say waiter, what’s the meaning of this fly in my tea-cup?

Waiter: I wouldn’t know, Sir. I’m a waiter, not a fortune teller.

1 Malaysia Letter Writing Competition 2013

During May 2013 (if I not mistaken), I had joined for 1 Malaysia Letter Writing Competition by submit my entry for open category which I need to write a letter to Malaysia Prime Minister to tell him that the reasons of Malaysian need to patriotic especially after the incident of 2013 Lahad Datu Standoff.

At this competition, I need to handwriting the letter about 500-750 of  Malay words which it is a challenging task for me as it was quite a long time that I did not write in Malay but I give it a try.

On 30 August 2013 (a day before Malaysia National Day), I had received my participation certificate. During this competition, I had gain a lot especially learn a lot about 2013 Lahad Datu Standoff as I need to find the information before start writes my letter.

2013-08 Favorite Postcards Received (Part 2)

This is a Thank You Card that sent by Tonia because I had sent a postcard to her mother which you can refer for my postcard project of send an encouragement to Tonia’s mother for more details. This St. Andrews Catholic Church also is a school in a town close to Tonia's place. The church was built in 1851 and the school started in 1941.

This postcard shows a picture of current King and Queen of Netherlands at their wedding. His mother was Queen at the time but she abdicated earlier this year. Anouk had told me that Queen is originally from Argentina which I quite surprise to know it.

Debbie from Atlanta had sent me this postcard as she thought this girl (postcard’s picture) looked like my Avatar at Postcrossing. She told me that Atlanta is a big city of 7 million people in the metro area. Her favorite museum is The World of Coca-Cola which is my first time to know it and hope that in future can go there for a visit.

This postcard show the pictures of Red Data Book of the Republic Belarus that listed the rare and disappearing species of animals and plants to implement measures for their protection on the national level. Belarus really did a great job on it so that we still can see the picture of animals and plants through book.

2013-08 Favorite Postcards Received (Part 1)

In this month, it was great as beside received postcards from Postcrossing as usual, I also received postcards from Starring You, 柚見月圓-寶哥鶴岡文旦 and Chinese Blogger, Valyn.

It was my first times to receive a postcard with rectangle shape. It is a view of Dom & Rathaus, Markt and Karlsbrunnen. Alexander was so creative that make me have a different reading experience that I need to turn around the postcard to read the message.

This cute shaped postcard sent by Esa from Finland. Esa said that he is an old man but I think that Esa is an old man with a child heart. I like the words that write by Esa which is so meaningful.

Remember always; Love often, Laugh much, Live well.

Laugh and Smile, it don’t take any time or money.

But it gives a lot.

This postcard sent from Valyn during her trip to Boracay Island, Philippines. The beach in Boracay Island is so beautiful and white as you can see through postcard. The sand of beach that make some art or words which is so beautiful.

As Mooncake festival was coming soon during September, I had received a postcard with a drawing of pomelo tree and this postcard made me want to eat pomelo, a type of juicy fruit.

This is a sweet postcard as it shows a picture of an old man holding his wife’s hand. Just wonder that what things that catch an attention from them to look to. I think maybe they sigh about times flies that the place had been change a lot.

Kota Kinabalu >> Menumbok: Bus Express

After arrived in Kota Kinabalu by flight, we choose to use bus express instead of ferry express to back Labuan because of the ferry express had been cancel for the afternoon trip.

Problem 1:

At the time we brought the ticket, the ticket showed the number plate of bus which is 3377. As the bus will departure at 12.30 pm so we had wait for the bus since 12.00 pm to avoid miss out the bus. Around 12.20 pm, we still did not saw the bus with number plate 3377 so my dad went to counter for some inquiry.

The answer that we get was the bus with number plate 3377 had been broken so the replacement bus will be bus with number plate 6767 (you can see from the ticket that number 3377 had been cross by the staff during my dad inquiry).

Reminder: When the bus that you wait still did not arrive before the exact time, try to ask from the counter to know more details about it. As if has any replacement bus, you will not know it unless you ask through counter (Bus company will not do any announcement for it unless you ask via counter).

Problem 2:

Before this trip, I had met with the matter of sat at wrong bus as I just focus on the number of the bus (exp. 3377) and ignore with the state code (exp. SAA) because the bus company may have two buses with same number but with different state code. The normal number plate is like SAA 3377.

Reminder: Before go in to bus make sure the whole number plate of the bus perfectly matches with the bus ticket (Sometimes the ticket did not show the state code so just follow the number plate of bus).

The bus has air-conditioning with number seat. Sometimes, the bus driver will play the movie for entertainment purpose but this time the TV was off. As the time in bus I was so tired so I felt asleep on bus during the trip until the bus stopped in front of stalls.

This was my first times to meet with the bus which stoped at the stalls along the way to Menumbok. When the bus stopped for a while, many people came out from bus and brought some food and drinks for eat in bus. Around 3.30 pm, the bus safety arrived at Terminal Ferry Menumbok.
